Changing Colors in Hydrangeas
Publication: Gardening in Containers

If you start plants from seed, you know how much it costs to buy the small pots they grow in. Erin Eckhardt shows Walter how to make seedling pots from a cheap material: newspaper! “Acid makes them blue and lime makes them pink”.....or is the other way around? Walter teaches the simple science behind how you can make your hydrangea flowers change color. And speaking of simple, Paul Thomas reminds Walter that a simple plastic shoebox is a great greenhouse when you’re propagating houseplants from cuttings.
